Things to Remember for a Closing:
• Bring bank check or certified check made out to the seller's attorney for the balance due at the time of closing
• Closing costs must be in the form of a cashier's check
• Bring personal checkbook to accommodate final adjustments such as fuel or water prorations not included in your pre-closing estimates
• Bring insurance policy on property being purchased (must be paid in full)
• Joint owners of property must be present at closing (or you may elect to give your attorney a "Power of Attorney" prior to the closing)
• Call utilities and have them turned on or transferred to your name
